He was born December 5, 1931 in Robbins, North Carolina. He served in the Korean War; he later served in Germany, two tours of combat duty in Vietnam and Korea. He was preceded in death by his parents Carr McCrimmon and Edith Ritter McCrimmon, brothers, Lawrence C. McCrimmon and Norman T. McCrimmon.
Allen is survived by his wife Delfina McCrimmon; children, Scott McCrimmon and Barbara McCrimmon Johnson; brothers, Douglas A. McCrimmon, Donald L. McCrimmon and Robert McCrimmon; sister, Ina J. Carlton.
