Allie Faye Williams was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 11th, 1939, to Allie Alexander, and Stephen Alexander. Allie was one of Six children: George (Molo), Juanita (Teatus), Eddie Vera (Pappy), Ruth and RobbieRene. Faye professed her life to Christ at an early age and was a woman of God and a firm believer in Christ. She was often lovingly referred to as "Faye" to family, friends, and co-workers. Faye attended grade school at Dunbar elementary, middle school at Sojourner Truth and graduated from Wheatly Highschool. Faye had a heart of Gold. Just as much as she loved others, she was loved by many. Faye married her first husband, and they had two sons, James E. Smith, Jr. "Jim" and Nathaniel R. Smith " Nate". Faye was a dedicated wife, mother and was the heart of the home. Faye was always committed to excellence in every venture she undertook. She met the love of her life, and husband R. A. Williams in San Antonio and married in the 60's. The two quickly hit it off and effortlessly fell in love. Around that time, Faye welcomed her only daughter, Robbie R. Williams, and youngest son Robert A. Williams, Jr. Allie Faye embraced her Motherhood whether real or surrogate. She put their happiness before her own. She carried the burdens and her faith in Christ allowed her to lay those burdens on the throne. Faye’s dedication to her family came with tears of joy and pain yet she would give her last. She knew her Motherhood was a calling from God, and she was very present in her families’ life daily.
During the 1970's, Faye found her passion and gift in healthcare. She was often known for putting others first, being beyond helpful and simply brightening everyone's day. She received many accolades and recognition throughout her 25 plus years of hardworking service. Her peers loved her dearly as did the patients and their families. She valued her family to the utmost and often expressed how much she valued her peace and quiet. Faye enjoyed the outdoors, going fishing and gardening. She found love in her home where family often gathered. You could always find her on the front porch in her rocking chair, talking to neighbors or just being the neighborhood watch as they would say and embracing the life God gave her here on earth. Faye lived a beautiful life, she never complained. Most people she knew often had funny stories or stories of how she impacted their lives in the smallest way.
Faye was survived by her youngest sister RobbieRene Houston, children James E, Smith Jr, Nathaniel R. Smith, Robbie R. Williams and a host grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews who were like her own children. Faye had a very special friend, Johnny Harris, who was her “Rock” after the passing of her spouse. We used to say he was “Johnny on the spot” as he never asked “Why?”, he always led with “What do you need, Faye?” And this was not just extended to her, but to her children as well. For this dedication and love shown to our mother, we the family will eternally be grateful for all the love and support that he gave us over the years.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband R.A. Williams, son Robert A. Williams, parents Steven & Allie Alexander, brother George, sisters Juanita, Ruth, and Eddie Vera.. The family will receive friends and guests from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
