Allison Brice Klutts

Allison Brice Klutts of Melissa, TX died on July 22, 2026, in San Antonio from complications due to peritoneal dialysis. Allison was born on June 17, 1953, in Camaguey, Cuba. She and her family left Cuba following Fidel Castro’s rise to power and lived in New Jersey and Florida before settling in the Dallas area, living in Melissa for 21 years before moving to San Antonio with her husband due to his work.

She was a voracious reader. Reading all of Terry Pratchett’s books, the Harry Potter books, books by Ann Rice, and many more. She was musically inclined, playing both drums and piano. She was gifted with languages, speaking Spanish, English, French, Italian, and Portuguese. She was highly intelligent with an exceptional memory.

In her early career she worked in the legal profession, working long hours assisting with bankruptcy, real estate, and criminal law. As her health deteriorated, she began working from home, before it was widely done, eventually starting her own businesses. In the early years of the internet, she took classes and taught herself how to do Web Site design and learned Linux to program servers for a Web Site Hosting business she had for many years.

She had many hobbies, including knitting, scrap booking, photography, needle point, nail art, computer graphic design, video editing, and was a Simmer (played the Sims computer game) for 25 years. She was a computer nerd, always having 2 to 3 computers in her “she room”, with at least one having to be a high-end gamming computer.

She loved dogs. When she was born her grandfather had two Great Danes whom she rode on as a small child. She was never without a dog or two or more. She had Great Danes, Miniature Pinchers, Bichons, short, long, and medium coat Chihuahuas and Dobermanns. Her best beloved were her Dobermann Max, long-haired Chihuahua KoKo, and medium coat Chihuahua Quinn. She also had a horse named Freya whom she loved as well.

Once her grandson Zakk was born, she devoted most of her time to raising him. Teaching him how to walk, talk, and potty training him. She drove him to and from St. Mary’s kindergarten and grade school classes and to and from Jr. High and High School, waiting on him to fish his football practices, and taking him to and from his summer football practices. She also taught him how to drive and passed on her interests in computers to him.

She was very proud of Zakk, but equally as proud of her daughter Erin and her husband Chris, all of whom she loved dearly.

Her kidneys failed in 2016. Since then, she had been on one form of dialysis or another and in and out of hospitals due to complications. Although it slowed her down physically, it did not slow her mind. She maintained her very close relationship with Zakk, read voraciously, continued her many hobbies, and always had from one to three dogs in her lap. She kept on going as best she could with a smile on her face.

She was preceded in death by the grandparents that raised her Sergio and Marticia Brice, parents Sergio and Alecia Brice and brother Serge Brice.

She is survived by her husband Maisel Klutts, daughter Erin Roberson (Chris), grandson Zakk Roberson, Aunt Aida Lauret Diaz and cousins Aurthur Brice and Teresa Guerra Lauret.

Visitation will be 2:00pm Sunday August 9th at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio, TX

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 4:00pm Sunday August 9th at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio, TX

Memorials may be given to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital
