

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles John Fuhrmann and Emma Viola Smith; brother, Carl Fuhrmann.
Alma May is survived by her daughters, Sallie Anne Lipschuetz and Bettie Betsy Chames and husband, George; grandchildren, Ami Marsell and husband, Jason, Jenny Poppe and husband, Neil; sister, Ruth Caldwell; beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews; cherished and faithful caregivers, Esther Efeovbokhan, Winnie Holman, Beatrice Sarpong and church family of Baptist Temple.
She attended Highland Park Elementary, Poe Middle School and graduated Brackenridge High School.
Alma May started her many careers as a country school teacher; then assisted in establishing the Baptist Temple kindergarten program, was an associate church hostess, and S.S. adult I IV Sec.
She was office manager for Newell Salvage Co. when it opened. Alma May was also one of the first key punch operators at Kelly A.F.B. and promoted to supplying parts worldwide for her beloved B-52's until her retirement. She had so much love for children, cooking, homemaking, life and her family.
