

Alma Grace Beauchamp was born on September 26, 1921 to Rev. William M. and Grace L. Beauchamp.
Alma grew up in Lovington, New Mexico, and attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces where she met Wilber.
Alma was a charter member of Jefferson United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and was President of the United Methodist Women.
She volunteered as a Blue Bird at Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital for over 30 years, enjoyed playing bridge and oil painting.
Alma and Wilber enjoyed spending time in the mountains of New Mexico and traveling with family and friends.
She is survived by Wilber L. Fite her husband, of 64 years; sons, Richard L. Fite and wife, Pat, Edward B. Fite and wife, Aimee; daughter, Marjorie Fite Sommer and husband, Kit; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Moore and husband, Willie, McAlister, OK; brothers-in-law, Billy Rives, Santa Fe, NM, Hank Willis of Albuquerque, NM, and Ed Kilian of Albuquerque, NM; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Anne Rives. The family would like to thank the staff at Morningside Manor Assisted Living and Nursing Home for their care during the past 9 months.
