Never seen Al in anything but a good mood. Knew Al as a SA bike patrol since the mid 90's. Used his business for the last few  years and he treated us like family making us a priority.  The world was a better place when you were here and now the world up there is.

Lon…. He was my best friend growing up from as long as I can remember to our adult years. (Collins Garden Elementary)  I remember all our trips to the Coast, Canyon Lake and going out… it was a blast.  I remember him going in reverse at the drive through to get attention in his awesome car. Haha. We were each other’s best man and you don’t forget that either. He was a good one. Praying he knew how much he meant to me and I pray I see you again buddy.

My deepest condolences to the Ramirez family. We had the pleasure of meeting the Ramirez's after we moved from Cavalier to taft. A lot of great memory shared growing up. Lonnie will be missed, my prayers to the whole family.

I feel a heavy loss because I lost not a nephew but a dear son. 
He was so precious, giving and kind hearted to each one of us. To his Mom, his Dad, sisters, his wife and family, his uncles, his cousins, and his aunts. 
There was nothing he did not try to do for each one of us. 
He made us all feel like we were special his favorite, and loved. 
He always texted me and asked about his cousins Demitri  & Jeannette. 
He had a beautiful spirit, kind heart and giving heart. Just like his mama.

He reminded me so much of Father& his Dad. 
Hard working, humble, always thinking of families needs, over stretched himself and grieved with me if he was unable to help at times during my sad & difficult times. 
My comfort comes into my heavy heart only because the Lord brought him into our life even if only for a short time in our life.

Saddened to hear of Lonnie’s passing, my thoughts go out to his family.

I met Alonzo in 8th grade at Lowell, then Burbank HS. I always liked his straight-talking attitude. He was a serious man even in 8 th grade and i will miss talking to him. And running into him unexpectedly; like it usually happened.

My brother along with his wife Cynthia always went out of his way to celebrate with family and friends. Holidays, sports, birthdays… whether at the coast house or here at home, we could always count on their hospitality and eagerness to have family and friends over for fun. We will all do our best to Help Cynthia, Ashley , EJ and Allison keep our traditions.  Forever in our hearts brother 🙏♥️🥰

I want to express my deepest condolences to all of Al’s family & friends. I remember Al from the police academy as we were both in Class of 85D.  You often hear people say that their loved one always had a smile on their face. But in all reality, Al was definitely one of those who always did have a smile on his face. He always looked at things in a positive way. After we graduated the academy we never worked the streets together. But we sometimes attended inservice together and would have a few beers afterwards. Al was always such a likable person. I remember a couple of years ago during the heat of summer and busiest time for him my son’s a/c went out at his home. I called Al and he immediately moved my son ahead of the line for service and sent someone over to my son’s house to take care of the problem for him. He put friends & family first. One of my many favorite memories is joining his team in a BBQ cook off at Fisherman’s Village at Boca Chica, Palacious Tx. In 2016. (One of many) Brother was an awesome Pit Master. This year, he placed in all 3 categories. He loved including all of us and having a great time. “Party Time”

I don't know where to start when describing how much Al's friendship meant to me and my family over the years. I met Al over 30 years ago when he was on footpatrol/bike patrol. He was a great friend before he became my brother in law. He had a heart of gold & would give the shirt off his back to help anyone he could. His SMILE will be with me always. He was definitely a jokster & taught me what I know about cars from his mechanic days when he had a shop too. I know he will be dearly missed by us and many others that new him. All my love to Cyn, Ashley, Allison & the Ramirez Family. Rest in Peace always my friend, until we see you again.

Al was a classmate of mine in 85D. He was always a good and savvy police officer. Al was working bike patrol in the downtown area. There had been several rapes in downtown San Antonio. The news was calling the rapist a serial rapist. Women were scared to be alone at night. Al was the officer that finally caught the rapist and put an end to rapist reign of terror. 
He was great guy and officer and will be missed by all who knew him. 💙

Our deepest condolences to Cynthia and all of the Ramirez Family.  Our friendship with Al goes back about 30 years.  He was such an honest and caring man.  It's been so hard to believe that he's gone.  He will be greatly missed.  Al was a man with integrity.  He put so much pride in all that he did.  Helping people was what he did best...  Our love to Cynthia and the entire Ramirez family.  May the Lord comfort you in your time of grief and sadness.
