While his straightforward nature could be challenging at times, it was also a testament to his honesty and authenticity.
His wife, Natividad Cruz, was the love of his life, and together they built a beautiful family. Though he often showed love in unconventional ways, Alvaro's sense of responsibility and resilience left a lasting impression to his children, Dina Arriaga (Alvino), Mayra Hernandez, and the twins, Manuel and Daniel Hernandez. His role as a grandfather was one of his greatest joys, and he doted on his grandchildren, Anicea J. Flores, Alvino A. Arriaga III, Aaron M. Arriaga, Andres L. Arriaga, Adrian E. Sanchez, Aiden Y. La familia recibirá a los invitados el jueves 19 de junio de 2025, de 5:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m., en Porter Loring Mortuary, 1101 McCullough Ave. El Rosario se rezará a las 7:00 p.m. El viernes 20 de junio de 2025, a las 8:30 a.m., partirá una procesión desde Porter Loring Mortuary hacia el cementerio Sunset Memorial Park, donde se llevará a cabo un servicio junto a la tumba a las 9:00 a.m.
