Alvin O. McMichael

Alvin O’Terrance McMichael was born November 11, 1929 in San Antonio, TX to Nellie and Alvin Edgar McMichael and passed away on January 3, 2014 in San Antonio, TX. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War; and was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Toyoka and Ann and his brother, Leon McMichael.

He is survived by his wife, Toni Rone; and his son, James McMichael, both of San Antonio; grandchildren, Steven McMichael and Barbara Herrera; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathleen Corbitt of Palestine, TX, O’dell Williams (Thomas) of San Antonio, TX, Sybil Long of San Antonio, TX, Nevlin Goad (Ray) of Sun City, FL, Jeanette McMichael of San Antonio, TX, Yvonne Trevino of San Antonio, TX ; brothers, Richard McMichael of San Antonio, Danny Mendoza of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2014 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Robert Andrew McMichael, Roger McMichael, Leon McMichael, Jr., Robert Derek McMichael, David Long and Rick Hauser.
