Alvino Cantu

Alvino Cantu born on September 10, 1944 went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2017. He is preceded in death by his father Julian Cantu; brothers Esteban and Eduardo Cantu; Grandparents Francisco & Julianita Cantu; father and mother in-laws Gilberto and Paula Aragon; grandparents Jose & Matiana Deleon. He is survived by his beloved wife Jesusita Susan Cantu; children Clarissa Rose Cantu, Alyssa Renee Cantu, Paris Duncan and niece Micaela Johnson; mother Guadalupe Cantu; siblings Ricardo, Reynaldo, Julian, Esteban and Estella Cantu; numerous nieces and nephews. Alvino was a retired Marine master gunnery Sergeant (MGYSGT). He was awarded rifle sharp shooters badge, viet namese campaign medal, good conduct medal and a national defense service medal. He also enjoyed playing the Xbox war games and watching sports. He will truly be missed by family and friends. A visitation will be on Monday November 20, 2017 at 4pm with a rosary to be recited at 7pm at Trevino funeral home on 226 Cupples rd. On Tuesday November 21, 2017 a funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 11 :15 am for a funeral mass at St Gabriel's Catholic Church at 11:45 a.m. with interment to follow at Fort Sam National Cemetery at 1:30pm.
