

She was born on April 8, 1944, in Cedral, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, to Juan Colunga Gonzalez and Maria Juana Gomes Aguilar. Amalia was a woman of deep love and devotion, whose life centered around her family and faith.
She was married to Adan Mejía Gonzalez, with whom she raised four children: Sandra Gonzalez-Lamb, Mark Anthony González, Priscilla Rojas, and Yvonne Mejia Carrion. Amalia took great pride in her role as a mother and was the heart of her family.
A devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and an amazing aunt, Amalia was known for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love. Her warmth and generosity touched all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will continue to honor her legacy through the love and values she instilled in them.
Amalia will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
The family will receive guests at Porter Loring Mortuary West for visitation on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm with a Chapel Service to be conducted at 2:00 pm.
