Amelia A. Gomez, age 85, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on December 7, 1930 in Runge, Texas to Dolores and Vicenta Alcala. She was preceded in death by her husband Salvador H. Gomez, PhD. and is survived by her children, Rosanna Gomez Moreno and husband Carlos A. Moreno, MD, Jaime R. Gomez, MD and wife Christine, Orlando H. Gomez; grandchildren, Jaime Gomez II, Analissa Domenja Moreno, Mia Isabel Gomez, Matthew Gomez and Ava Marie Gomez; sister, Irma Sanchez; sister-in-law, Theresa Solms; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 6: 00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National cemetery
