Amparo Cerrillo Paniagua

Amparo was born in Saltillo, Coahuila to Elias Cerrillo and Francisca Paez on January 24, 1935. She married Luis M. Paniagua. She was a devoted wife and loving mother.

Amparo is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Bertha Jasso, Cuca Chavez, Maria Gomez, Lilia Garcia, and Olga Mendez.

She is survived by her children, daughter Esmeralda Rodriguez (Mario T. Rodriguez), son Luis Paniagua (Lisa V. Saenz), grandchildren Justin A. Rodriguez, Jessica M. Aguirre, Jules A. Rodriguez, Jaret M. Rodriguez, Jonathan L. Paniagua, Tomas A. Paniagua, and Amanda Gutierrez, and one great-grandchild Julianna A. Wiltse.

A memorial gathering will be held Friday, March 6, 2026 from 6:00-9:00PM at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, with a rosary beginning at 7:00PM.

The family of Amparo wishes to extend our sincere thanks to 3 Oaks Hospice Organization and 3 Oaks Nurses, Diana Cruz, Rosie Perez, Mary Luna, and Esther Ony, social worker Latshia Hayes, and Chaplain David Silverstein for the amazing around the clock care.

The family would also like to thank everyone that has sent plants, flowers, well-wishes, thoughts and prayers.
