Ana Maria Olga Urrutia Bruno, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on October 27, 1943, in Saint Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Ana Maria and Adolfo Urrutia. She grew up in San Antonio, but after a junior year abroad in college, she decided to move to Paris, France where she was a scientific translator for many years for The National Center for Scientific Research. This is also where she met and married Francis Bruno. After a few years they decided to adopt their children, Luisa and Gabriel. She then focused her energies on being a stay at home Mom, art lover, dance enthusiast and wine connoisseur. Olga found a love for dance late in life but never let that prevent her from dancing every chance she got. She performed Tango with her friends at the Folk Life Festival in 2014 and was also part of many a flamenco flash mob in San Antonio. She leaves behind her children Luisa and Gabriel Bruno, ex-husband Francis Bruno, grandson Felix, brother Aureliano "Bud" Urrutia, nieces Elise and Adrienne, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. The funeral and burial will be a private affair for immediate family and close friends only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Guadalupe Community Center 1801 Cesar Chavez, San Antonio, TX 78207.
