Andrea E. Laffey

Dr. Andrea Laffey, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away suddenly on October 20, 2001. Born in Dedham, MA, Andrea spent her early years in the Northeast and Chicago area. She was a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where she received her Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees in Psychology. Andrea practiced psychology in San Antonio for over 16 years and had been in private practice with her colleague and dear friend, M'lissa Parsons, for the past 6 years. She truly loved her professional life and felt blessed to work with so many amazing clients who allowed themselves to trust and share their lives with her. Andy's wide range of interests reflected her love of music, nature, and outdoors—tennis, skiing, climbing, rafting and birding. However, she most valued sharing her time with family and her many devoted friends. She was preceded in death by her father, John E. Laffey, and by her brother, Christopher, of San Diego, CA. She is survived by her mother, Pauline of San Antonio; sisters, Roberta of Madison, WI, and Jessica spouse of Juel Ulven; and her cherished nephews, Zachary and John Ulven of Aurora, IL.
