

He was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 29th,1932 to Margarito Galvan and Paula Salazar. A hard- working man, he always provided for and took care of his family along with his wife Carrie Galvan. He was married and devoted to Carrie Galvan for 48 years. Their marriage brought together and created a beautifully blended family of 17 children. He had a passion for traveling, playing poker and above all spending quality time with his loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Carrie Galvan, son Richard Galvan, daughter Olga Pyle, and grandsons Jerry Berlanga and Manuel Estrada Jr..
He is survived by his brother Eddie Gonzales, children Thomas Galvan, (Sylvia Galvan), Rosa Naputi, (Frank Naputi), Margarito Galvan,(Lucia Galvan), Diana Montalvo, Ernest Galvan, Andrew Galvan Jr., Carolina Casas, (Michael Casas), Paula Galvan (Bernard Rodriguez), Cruz Galvan, (Rosalinda Galvan), Charlie Chavez,(Sylvia Chavez), Ida Chavez Berlanga, Jerry Chavez, (Elena Chavez), Oscar Chavez, Robert Chavez, Leticia Salazar, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Andrew Cruz Galvan will be remembered as a devoted man, and incredibly loving father, grandfather and great great grandfather. He will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him.
A visitation for Andrew will be held Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237. A rosary service will occur Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 7:00 PM, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237. A mass of the resurrection will occur Monday, September 25, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1515 Saltillo Street, San Antonio, Texas 78207. A graveside service will occur Monday, September 25, 2023 at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237.
