Andrew “Andy” Mauricio was born on February 4, 1971 in San Antonio, Texas, to Abigail and Miguel Mauricio Jr. He entered into eternal rest on August 15, 2026, surrounded by his loving family and those who meant so much to him.
Andy was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He cherished the time spent with his family and was known for his many talents and interests. Andy had a passion for singing, photography, crafting, and spending time outdoors. As a talented musician, music was a meaningful part of his life and a way in which he shared his creativity with others.
Andy is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Analisa Mauricio and Emily Mauricio; his parents, Abigail and Miguel Mauricio Jr.; and his siblings, Jeanette Curling and Miguel Mauricio III. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family, including Jaela Arriaga, Gavin Curling, Miguel Mauricio IV, Valentina Ortiz, Hector Mauricio, and Heather Mauricio.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Miguel Mauricio Sr., Benita Mauricio, Charlie Huizar, and Consuelo Huizar.
Andy leaves behind a legacy of love, music, creativity, and cherished memories that will continue to live on through his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will remain forever in their hearts.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home; 6321 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, TX 78238, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Mariachi music will be presented at 6:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue throughout the evening until 10:00 p.m.
Family and friends are invited to join together to honor Andy’s life, celebrate the memories he created, and remember the love and joy he shared with those around him.
