sono nato a Santa Flavia (Palermo). Sono stato Battezzato dal Vostro Nonno Angelo e da Zia Giovanna Guttadauro. Quando Angelo era militare in Italia, veniva spesso a trovare il Nonno e zia Giovanna, a pranzato a casa mia e lo ricordo esattamente molto bello come nella foto che vedo. Zia Giovanna ed il Nonno erano molto fieri della famiglia, mi parlavano sempre di tutti Voi.

Dear Friends and Family of Mr. Angelo De Guttadauro: It is with deepest sadness that I extend my condolences to you on the loss of your beloved. There are no words that I can say that will make your loss any easier. However, I would like you to know that I am sincerely thankful for his bravery and great sacrifice to our great country. As Chair of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations, I pray that the deep hurt you feel is in some part eased by the feeling of great pride for his valor and deep sense of patriotism. He will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him. May God give you and yours strength and courage. May the love and the wonderful memories you shared with him help you when you need it most. Please know that he will never be forgotten and your family will be remembered in my prayers.

At Palo Alto High School, and for a few years after that, Angelo and I shared our enthusiasm for sports cars and women--a classic combination.

He will be missed. Another member of our Palo Alto and San Jose water polo teams.

Dearest Giuliana, Andrea and Lorenzo, 
 You are in our hearts and thoughts. We share your grief and loss. 
 Angelo was always a man of both class and sophisticated humor. He was one of the first friends that I made when I came to SJS in '57. In '58, when Lynn came into my life, he became her friend too. Laughs and intelligent guidance, as well as solid friendship, always were factors in our relationship. Even if it was years between contacts, he was always the same Angelo we knew as kids. 
 When we were young, I remember his frustration with organized religion. We shared that same frustration, or maybe anger, because we couldn't get answers as to why certain things in life go the way they do. I hope he found the answer. 
 I am a better person for having been exposed to Angelo. He was like a brother, not just a fraternity brother He was a gentleman and a lifelong friend. We will miss him and will surely miss his bright observations and sharp wit.

Angelo was a fellow high school classmate at Palo Alto High School, class of 1955. We last met at the 50th reunion and he will be missed at our 60th reunion. I was also a fellow US Army officer and we swapped military stories--I will miss him.

Angelo was my suite mate at USAA for about two years. His dry sense of humor, unabashed love of country, and deep devotion to his family all impressed me very profoundly. He was a true patriot. God bless his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Angelo's passing. I so enjoyed my association with him in college, fun carefree days at Sigma Nu house at 646 So. 5th, San Jose. Thanks you Angelo for your service to our country. Your family can be very proud of your achievements.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of my friend Angelo. I had the pleasure of working with Angelo at USAA. We had so many discussions on many subjects to include our mutual military service. We both realized that Angelo de Guttadauro was a special person from the moment we met him twenty-two years ago at the Foulois Guest House at Fort Sam Houston. Angelo was intelligent, colorful, energetic, and entertaining. We will always remember him as an interesting conversationalist, a proud Italian-American, and a good friend. Dearest Guiliana, I was so sorry to hear of Angelo's passing. I know you will miss him as I miss Lionel. You and Angelo made us feel welcomed when we came to Roseheart and Lionel and Angelo went on to become good friends. We are saddened by the passing of our dear friend, Angelo, and extend to his family our most heart-felt sympathy. He did so much for our community and served our country so unselfishly.
