Anita R. Gutierrez L.S.W., age 70, of San Antonio, died Wednesday, August 8, 2001. Anita graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University. She was an active parishioner and choir member. Her professional and community projects were instrumental in benefiting the community. Her accomplishments include: Clinical & Social Services Director for Wesley Community Centers, The City Housing Project, facilitation Senior programs at The YMCA, Board member of the Legal Aide for 20 years, and Vida Case Management case worker. Anita will truly be loved and missed. She was preceded in death by her sons, Albert R. Gutierrez, Jr. and Andrew R. Gutierrez. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Albert B. Gutierrez; children, Albert L. Gutierrez, Jr. and wife, Dora, Mary Rojas and husband, Robert, Daisy Rosales and husband, Joe F.; grandchildren, Albert, Jr. and Christina, Alberta, Angela and Barbara, and Melissa; great grandchildren, Michael, Alexis, Alina, Anisa and Brian; sister, Elvira R. Leal and husband, Daniel; niece and nephews, Elsa, Danny, Larry, Abraham, Yvonne and Adrian.
