Anita V. Hernandez, 90, died August 22, 2013. She is predeceased by her husband, Dionicio C. Hernandez and survived by their children, Maria Carmen Hernandez, Maria Andrea Garza, Dennis Hernandez, Maria Lipscomb, Antonio Hernandez, Francesca Hernandez, ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Anita was born July 16, 1923 to Brigido De Leon and Maria Nieves. She dedicated her life to raising her children and took great pride in running her household. She enjoyed gardening, playing dominoes, mariachis, singing and telenovelas. Visitation will be from 6-9pm Monday August 26, 2013 at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. followed by a Rosary at 7pm. A procession will depart from the funeral home at 9:30am Tuesday, August 27, 2013 for a 10am Mass at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, interment to follow in Gonzales Cemetery, 15694 Henze Rd. and a Fiesta of Life at 3pm at 115 W. Southcross.
