I grew up living next door to Anita until I moved in 1984. I have so many fond memories of Anita and all her family. She was always so gracious and giving. Even though she had her hands full with her family, I recall her helping my dad look after us when my mom had surgery when we were very young. I will never forget her, Rueben and her children and how giving they all are.

When my brother Vincent would make her laugh. I loved her laugh. She truly knew what it meant to show Jesus to you sometimes without even words. Her actions. She loved you unconditionally. She prayed for you. She hugged you when everyone else made you feel unworthy. She left an amazing legacy that will live on forever. We will see her one day in Heaven where right now she is rejoicing with her Lord. I love you Sister Hernandez and till we meet again I will miss you.
