Anita Cardoza Viesca

Anita Cardoza Viesca went to be with the Lord on February 03, 2015 at the age of 100. She was a devoted wife and mother who had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed listening to music and she adored animals, especially cats and her puppy “Lori.” Her favorite colors were pink and black, and she loved the smell of roses. Anita was an awesome cook; and many will always remember a few of her special dishes: chicken mole, rice and beans, and sugar tortillas. Words cannot describe how deeply she will be missed.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 25 + years: Francisco Viesca, son: Ernesto Viesca, and grandson: Paul Anthony Gonzales. She is survived by 6 children: Susie (Robert) Hernandez, Theresa (Sam) Hernandez, Juanita (Alberto) Gutierrez, Linda Alcoser, Fermin (Vicki) Viesca, and Esparanza Zamudio; 2 sisters: Stella Sabedra and Herminia Torres; 22 grandchildren: Diana, Julie, Vicky, Cindy, Nelda, Frank, Susie, Sandra, Grace, John, Moses, Jacob, Sonia, Sophia, Anthony, Michael, Christopher, Ernest Jr., Monica, Eric, Erica, and Mark, 33 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00PM that same evening. A chapel service will begin on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
