ANN ADAMS JAYROE, our precious and beloved mother and grandmother, age 84, of San Antonio, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. She was proceeded in death by her parents; Hughes Benjamin Adams and Leona Faye Wheeler; and brothers, Roger K. Adams and Kinneth Wayne Wheeler. Ann is survived by daughter; Teresa Ann Jayroe; son, David Myles Jayroe; son, James Steven Jayroe (wife, Carey); granddaughters Stephanie Bosch and Allison Asthana; sister, Blenda Nelle Coursey; brothers, Raymond Wheeler, Joe Adams and Hank Adams; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ann was born near Ramah, New Mexico, on January 21, 1937. However, she grew up in Texas and was very proud to be a “True Texas Girl”. During high school, Ann lived with her adored grandparents, Henry and Ola Rogers, in Bronte, Texas. She is a graduate of Bronte High School and very honored to have been known in the area as “Henry and Ola’s girl, Ann”. After high school, Ann moved to San Angelo and worked as a bookkeeper. She was a proud military spouse for 15 years. She also worked in the sales, marketing, and consulting industries. Later in life, Ann obtained her real estate license and worked as a realtor for over 20 years and truly loved her “Keller Williams family”.
Ann was always a bright light who exuded positivity. She faced many obstacles in life but did not let them define her journey. She certainly wore many hats (both figuratively and literally) during her lifetime. “Grannie Annie” was so proud of her granddaughters and loved them so much. She will remain in our hearts forever.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial to remember and celebrate Ann’s life. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, Tx.
