
Ann C. Youngblood, of San Antonio, died Saturday, the 3rd of September 2011. Born in San Antonio, Ann was the youngest of five children. She graduated from Tech High School where she enjoyed drama and writing. She was a member of the Quill and Scroll national honor society and won first prize in an essay contest sponsored by the San Antonio advertising club.
Ann met her husband John while at Tech High School and worked for the army during the Korean War. After the war she had two children and was very active in her children's schools and extracurricular activities. She also worked as an accountant with her husband at Monroe Grinding Co., and performed volunteer work with the United Methodist Women's organization and Diabetes medical offices.
She was a leader in the John Wesley class at Coker United Methodist Church where she met her second husband Ben Youngblood. Ann always enjoyed entertaining, from hosting Christmas dinners at her home to Thanksgiving dinner at the family ranch. She had many close friends and she loved to play bridge. Ann also had a passion for traveling and traveled throughout the U.S and Europe.
She is survived by her two sons, grandchildren and husband Ben Youngblood and her step children.
