

She is a graduate of the Middle Tennessee State University and she earned a Master's Degree from the University of Virginia. After employment as the Assistant Librarian for the Engineering Library of the University of Virginia, she became a devoted military spouse for over thirty-one years and moved with her family to stations throughout the United States and Europe. In February of 2000 she was recognized by the Department of the Army with the Commander's Award for Public Service. She was a distinguished member of the International Society of Poets and was awarded the Poet of Merit Medal for her poetry in 2002. As a mother and housewife, she also taught English composition and literature at every opportunity. She held teaching positions in public schools in Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia. She also taught English composition and literature at Central Texas College both in Europe and at Killeen, TX for nine years. For seven years, she substituted for the NEISD.
Anne moved to San Antonio in 1992 while her spouse was assigned to the Fifth United States Army at Fort Sam Houston. She was married for thirty-three years to US Army Colonel John D. Pavlovsky and together they had four children and one grandchild.
She is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Kathryn of Houston, TX, Amanda and her husband, Michael Coolbaugh of San Antonio; son, John David of San Antonio; daughter, Julianne, a student at the University of Tennessee; grandchild, Joseph Michael Coolbaugh; two sisters, Mary A. Bentley of Castalian Springs, TN and Mrs. Ruth S. Cawthon of Stone Mountain, GA.
