
Annelle Hollister House, age 83 of San Antonio, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 12, 2001. Born in Dallas, she studied dance, piano and graduated in Music from Southern Methodist University. In April she attended the 65th reunion of her graduating class of Woodrow Wilson High School. She remained an active alumnus of her Chi Omega Fraternity throughout her life and enjoyed her membership in the San Antonio Military Civilian Club. She always gave freely of her time to military and civilian community endeavors. With her marriage in 1941 to Dr. Royce Eugene House, a career army surgeon, she began an odyssey that would have her settling happy homes for her family all over the U.S. and six years in Germany. At retirement they traveled widely and made their home for over 30 years in San Antonio. Her husband and family were her greatest joys, and she was deeply loved. Grateful admiration and thanks are due the skilled and caring staff at Brooke Army Medical Center. She will be missed by her sister, Betsy Seaman of San Antonio; her daughter, Jan C. Kiessling's family, Heidelberg, Germany; her daughter, Gayle Fuller's family of Texarkana, Texas. She was blessed with five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her family is comforted knowing that she is peacefully reunited with her husband of 60 years, her dear parents and friends gone before, all surrounded by God'
