

Annie Hernandez, beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born on July 26, 1936, in the vibrant city of San Antonio, Annie was the cherished daughter of Catalina (Padilla) and Esteban Gonzales.
Annie's life was a testament to love, kindness, and strength. She touched the lives of many with her warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith. Throughout her life, Annie exemplified resilience, facing challenges with grace and determination. Her laughter was infectious, and her smile could light up a room.
Annie's legacy of love, compassion, and strength will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. While she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.
Annie is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 50 years, Arthur “Ivy” Hernandez; sister, Herlinda Flores; brother in laws, Henry Flores, and Felix M. Castro; and nephew, Gerald Castro. She is survived by her sister, Amelia Castro; her devoted nephews, Darryl Flores (Erin), Roger Flores (Irene), and Roland Castro (Evelyn); cherished niece, Denise Garcia (William); grand nephews and nieces, Andrew Flores, Tyler Flores, Carson Flores, Daniel Flores, Alicia Cadena, Kristy Ortiz, Stephen Castro, Anthony Castro, Lauryn Castro, Cathleen Brown, Olivia Garcia, William Garcia, Jr., Barbara Garcia, Gerald Castro; great grand nephews and nieces, CJ, Kasen, Aubrey, Jenessi, Senia, David, Layla, Kylee, and Capree; and many other extended family members, and friends, who will continue to treasure her memory and honor her legacy.
May Annie rest in eternal peace, knowing that she was dearly loved and will be profoundly missed.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
