
Annie Allen Ann Hight passed away November 5, 2002 in a local nursing home. She was born May 24, 1914 to Mrs. Lelia E. Naddie Burnham and John B. Harvey in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Ann married Thomas J. Hight on October 23, 1948 who preceded her in death as did her parents and stepfather Alec B. Hitchman. Ann is a descendent of Capt. Jesse Burnham of Stephen F. Austin's Old 300. Ann was retired from Civil Service at Randolph AFB. She was a "people" person with a sense of humor and enjoyed visiting and helping others as well as her yard and flowers. Ann was an active member of Woodlawn Christian Church and her church circle. She is Past Matron and an endowed member of Bexar Chapter # 616 O.E.S. She was also a member of Church Women United and NARFE Northwest Chapter 1320. Ann did volunteer work at Wilford Hall Hospital for a number of years. She is survived by nephews, Cal Hitchman, Sr. and Cal Hitchman, Jr. and family of Houston; cousins, Eugene Bohne III, Alan Burnham Bohne, Thomas Sibson, Annie Allen Daughtery and family of Hearne, Julia N. Moss of Alpine; her devoted friend, Lou Weeks; and a host of other friends and cousins.
