Annie Mena

Ana Maria “Annie” Medrano Mena passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 21, 2019 at the age of 60 following a long bout with breast cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jorge Medrano and Bertha Ortiz, her sister Bertha “Birdie” Medrano, and grandmother Mercedes “Guela” Vazquez. Annie is survived by her husband Andrew Mena; daughters Jaclyn Ibarra (Charles Sanchez) and Jasmine Ibarra (John Rodriguez); stepdaughter Jennifer Mena (Hector Garay); stepson AJ Mena; grandchildren Aubrielle Sanchez, Charles Jace Sanchez, and Jude Rodriguez; step grandchildren Nathaniel Mena, Mariam Garay, and Hector Garay III; siblings Guillermo Medrano (Beatrice Nowak), Carlos Medrano (Christina Avila) and Jorge Medrano (Magdalen Martinez), and numerous extended family. She was known to be gentle, sweet, positive, kind, and resilient. Always full of life, she was a devoted wife and mother who loved to travel and share her adventures with everyone.

Share your stories of remembrance on Sunday, October 27, 2019 here at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home from 5pm-8pm, with a prayer service at 6pm. Final viewing will be held at 730am on Monday, October 28, 2019 prior to departure to Mission Park Cemetery South at 8:30am.
