Anselmo Uribe Reyna Sr.

Anselmo “Sammy” Uribe Reyna Sr. born on April 21, 1933 went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents Refugio and Eloisa Reyna; his sons Manuel Reyna, Richard Anthony Reyna and Anselmo Uribe Reyna Jr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Minerva C. Reyna; children Kathryn Ann De La Luz, Linda Gale Robles (Arnold), Ernest Reyna, Edward Reyna (Rose Marie), Marina P. Reyna (Natasha D. Gonzales); 18 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; siblings 3 sisters and 1 brother. Sammy was a boxing coach who traveled all over Texas with his team mates for Boxing Tournaments. Anselmo worked over 35 years with KLN steel company as a very dedicated hard worker. He also served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a family oriented man who loved gardening. He will greatly be missed by family and friends. A visitation will be on Monday October 16, 2017 at 5:00pm at 226 Cupples rd. at Trevino funeral home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. On Tuesday October 17, 2017 a funeral procession will depart the funeral home for a mass at St. Leo the Great Church at 12:30 pm. Interment to follow at 1:45 pm at Fort Sam National Cemetery.
