He was many things to many people—husband, loving father, proud grandfather, & cherished friend. He had a personality that could light up a room. He was funny, playful, and sometimes wonderfully immature, always finding a way to make the people around him laugh. He could also be stern when he needed and those who knew him best understood that beneath that tough exterior was a man with a big heart.
Anthony had a deep love for anything involving horses and the Western way of life. He was also a die-hard Marine, carrying that pride with him throughout his life. His strength, loyalty, and determination were qualities that became a part of who he was.
He was Veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the United States Marines and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal.
Above all else, family meant everything to Anthony. His family was his greatest source of pride, & the love he gave them will continue through every generation that follows.
Anthony will be remembered for his great smile, his sense of humor, his strong spirit, and the way he made life a little more memorable for those around him. He was a good man who loved deeply, laughed loudly, and left an imprint on the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Though his chair may be empty and his voice may be missed, his stories, his laughter, his smile, and the love he gave his family will remain forever.
He is survived by his beloved Wife Esperanza and 5 children and their Spouses: Jonathan and his wife Trisha, Ursula, Anthony and his wife Nichole, Alasandra and her husband Tyrel and Andrea her husband Brian ,along with an abundance of grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He also leaves behind his siblings: Joseph, Barbara, Gerard, Mark, Eugene, Christopher and Zachary.
He is preceded in death by his loving Grandmother Enriquetta Tarin Casanova, Mother and Father Henrietta and Joel Ponce, Sister Monica and his sons Alan and Nathan.
Rest easy, Marine. You will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. Oorah!
