Tony Pons passed into the eternal embrace of God on August 30, 2018 at the age of 61. He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony J. Pons, Sr. Surviving Tony are his mother, Mrs. Guadalupe Pons, and two beloved children, Kristen and Justin Pons. Also surviving are siblings, Francie, Marcia, Larry and Valerie; niece Roxie and nephew Ty; three aunts and numerous cousins.
Tony attended Holy Rosary, Longfellow, and Jefferson High School. He graduated from UTSA with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Tony spent his career in civil service at Kelly and Lackland Air Force Bases.
His greatest joys were his children and family. He helped organize a reunion in 2011 of his maternal family, and was very fond of researching their genealogy.
Tony enjoyed the company of lifelong friends, even from elementary school. His best friend was his Uncle Joe. Tony was beloved among his family and friends, and will never be forgotten.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Porter Loring Mortuary North. A Rosary will follow at 7:00 pm.
