Anthony Edward Segura, born on May 31, 1960, went to be with our Lord on January 3, 2022 at the age of 61. Mr. Segura retired as the Print Shop manager for The City Of San Antonio but he never stopped working. Most recently, he worked for UT Health Science Center.
He had a passion for all things sports. His favorites being softball, baseball, volleyball and football. Anthony loved joking around with his family and friends and was known to his loved ones as the life of the party. Some of his hobbies included being the umpire coordinator for Alamo Heights and Town and Country Little League. He was also the Harlandale ISD Bookkeeper for athletic events. Needless to say, he always kept busy. When Anthony was not involved with sports, he was spending time with family and friends. He was constantly lending out a helping hand to anyone who needed it. His generosity was beyond measure. Blessed with his children from his previous marriage to Ms. Candy Newhall, Anthony and Shealah were his greatest treasures. Anyone one who knew him, knew his love for the Yankees, the Cowboys, sports, family, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fidel and Maria Segura, siblings, Antonio Roberto Segura, Ruben Segura, Victoria Martinez and Hector Segura.
He is survived by children; Anthony Edward Segura II (Maclovia), Shealah Joy Segura; siblings, Fidel Segura Jr., Juan Segura (Mary), Roland Segura (Diane), Armando Segura, Mary Jane Crayton (Earl), Jeffrey Earl Segura, his GrandDog, Ed Segura and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be truly missed by family and friends.
A visitation will be held Sunday, January 16, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A rosary will occur at 4:30 PM. Following the Rosary, a Celebration of Life where service will conclude.
