Antoinette Sonzala

A devout Catholic and member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church since her arrival to San Antonio in 1999.

She was born in Erie, PA. Antoinette was a Spurs fan and loved all sports. In 1929, she played on the Championship Girls High School basketball Team.

Antoinette was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Frank J. Sonzala; and is survived by their son, Frank J. Sonzala and wife Lynn of San Antonio, TX; and her sister, Jane Janicki of Erie. She will also be greatly missed by grandchildren, Matthew Sonzala and wife Melissa of Houston, TX; Kristin "Krissy" Kavelish and husband Pete of Winston-Salem, NC, Bridget Sullivan and her father David of West Chester, PA; Chance J. Sonzala and Tim Craven of San Antonio, TX; great grandchildren, Sara Ann, Katrina and Jacob Kavelish; and Eva Maria Sonzala.

The family would like to express their special gratitude to Annie Gonzales, who cared for Antoinette in such a tender and loving way.

HOLY ROSARY CATHOLIC CHURCH

Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Erie, PA, with arrangements by Brugger Funeral Home, East 38th Street, Erie, PA.
