Antonio "Tony" Huizar

Antonio had many accomplishments including, serving in both the United States Marine Corps (1957-1960) and United States Air Force (1962-1966). He went on to begin a career in law enforcement as a police officer in Battle Creek Michigan and Penfield Township from 1968-1970. His academic accomplishments included a Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement and Sociology, and, for a time, was a social worker and counselor, as well as a truck driver and instructor. Anthony did not stop there. He was quite an entrepreneur and had his own businesses, Huizar Construction and Walls By Design, which specialized in, building houses, subcontracting and landscaping.

Tony was proud to serve his Country and community. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was a very loving man. Tony had a great sense of humor, loved his card games, guitar and enjoyed a good beer and a shot of whisky. He will be missed!

He was preceded in death by his parents Geronima and Agustin Huizar, brothers Vincent Huizar, Edward Huizar, Gerome Huizar, and Brother-in-Law Dan Monville

Tony is survived by his dear friends, Dagmar Itschner, Lester Itschner, Martha Kicker, Roy and Debbie Itschner, Charles and Olivia Itschner and their loving children, Landon and Everett, Matthew and Cortnie Itschner and loving children, Skylar and Hudson; children, Barton Sheer, Victoria Pearson, Krista Hope, and Scott Huizar; sister, Erminia Monville; sisters-in-law, Margorie Huizar and Jane Huizar; cousin, Jerry Huizar and his wife, Elizabeth, and so many more nieces, nephews and cousins.

May the warm breezes take you on a happy journey. May the rain wash your pain and tears away and the sun keep you warm and dry. May you never be hungry or thirsty. May you always be in the company of loved ones and friends. May our beloved pets greet you and keep you close and comfort you. Smile as you spread your wings and fly with a happy tune on your lips. You will always be in our hearts and souls, watch over us as we look forward to the day when we shall meet again.
