Col. Gandy was preceded in death by his wife, Theda A. Gandy on February 29, 2003 and his parents, Nicholas D. Gandy and Mollie Sumrall Gandy. He is survived by his son, Dwight Michael Gandy and his wife, Jane of Morrisville, Vermont; his daughter, Paulina Gandy Perez and her husband, Eric of Johnson, Vermont; three grandchildren, Bryan Perez and his wife, Monica, Mark Perez and his wife, Jamie and Scott Perez; two great-grandchildren, Luke and Caroline.
