Araceli also started her family in Mexico with the birth of her daughter, but came to San Antonio soon thereafter. She was deeply dedicated to her daughter and enjoyed watching her become the woman she is today.
Araceli enjoyed listening to the music of her homeland, including Latin/Pop and Mariachi. Her second love was helping to raise her beloved granddaughter, who filled her life with love and happiness.
Throughout her illness, Araceli kept her faith, rarely complaining and very confident that she would beat her disease up until the very end.
She is preceded in death by her father, Hector Garza.
Araceli is survived by her daughter, Lizzette Garza and husband, Arturo; granddaughter, Alessandra; mother, Emma Garza, sisters, Rosa Maria Garza, Betty Ortiz and Emma Alonso and her brother, Hector Garza, along with several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank her long time provider, Becky Cardenas, for always being with her and helping her to be strong, Dr. Jorge Saravia and his staff and the staff of Christus Sister Mary Hospice for all their dedicated care.
