Arno was born January 20, 1916, in Fredericksberg, TX. As a young man, Arno was a motorcycle enthusiast working on and repairing many motorcycles, and he was also a member of the Indian and Harley Davidson motorcycle clubs. With his love of motorcycles, he joined the US Navy and became a member of the Military Police/Shore Patrol while serving in World War II.
He retired from Jordan Ford Motor Company after 33 years. Arno was a lifelong avid hunter and fisherman and a man who loved to watch NASCAR races on television.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Vincent Arno Ransleben Villarreal.
Arno is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ernestine Hardwick Ransleben; son, Curtis Ransleben and wife Charlotte; daughter, Susie Villarreal and husband, Joe, Jr.; grandchildren, Neil Ransleben and wife Marisol, Leslie Ransleben all of San Antonio, TX, Kristofor Voss of San Diego, CA, Lyle Voss Boerne, TX, Andrew Villarreal and Dori Villarreal of San Antonio, TX; sister, Hilda Palmer of Wenatchee, WA, Estella Schultz of Temple City, CA and Gretchen Floyd of AZ.
