On September 8, 1932, our gift from heaven was born in D'Hanis, Texas. He was third of nine children born to Jose Ibarra and Francisca Tovar-Ibarra. He joined the United States Air Force in September of 1949, and later served in the National Guard. On December 5, 1956, he married Margarita Garcia and they were blessed with four children: Ofelia, Margie, Arnulfo Jr and Melba.
Arnulfo was a devoted family man who was dear to so many. He was affectionately known as "Papo" to his grandchildren and "Uncle BuBu" to nephews and nieces. In his younger years, he enjoyed deer hunting and beautifying his yard alongside his wife, Margarita. Later in life, his interest turned to woodwork. He created wooden "tokens of love" to give to his grandchildren and woodwork that symbolized his faith.
In his early 50's he dedicated his life to Christ. Thereafter, his life was anchored on the Word of God and thus he became "A Man of Great Faith". He always had a sweet smile on his face and always had something uniquely funny to say. Arnulfo had a very generous and loving heart.
