

It is with great sadness that the family of Arthur Gonzalez Botello (formerly Buenteo) announces his passing after a brief illness, on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the age of 83 years.
He was born on April 2, 1930 in Yoakum, Texas to Severo Solis Buenteo and Teresa V. Gonzalez. Arthur was a long time parishioner of San Francisco di Paola Catholic Church in San Antonio Texas.
He served in the U.S. Army 147th Infantry during the Korean War. Art had a long civil service career as an Air Craft Mechanic specializing in composites with Kelly Air Force Base and retired from Lear Siegler Aerospace in 1995. He was a longtime member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 4815 and Knights of Columbus Council 07016.
Arthur had a deep passion for family history and was a member of Los Bexarenos Genealogical & Historical Society in San Antonio Texas.
Arthur is preceded in death by his father, Severo Solis Buenteo and mother, Teresa V. Gonzalez; and mother of his children, and wife, Arlene Bicker Buenteo; his brothers, Adan, and Ignacio Buenteo; and sisters, Eva Tijerina and Eufemia Briseno.
He is survived by his children, Severo M. and Raymond I. Buenteo , Elois B. White and Kathy A. Villa; brothers, Severo G. and Raymundo Buenteo; and sisters, Josephina Galan and Dora Castillo; grandchildren, Colby T. Buenteo, Jacob I. Villa, Severo N. Buenteo, Garrett M. White, Abram D. Jackson, Arthur Jackson, April Walker, Cecilia Ojeda-Collins, Delia De La Rosa, Natasha Jackson, Madelyne Buenteo; and great-grandchildren, Ryden, Ruari and Renzo Walker; and numerous nephews, nieces and friends who love him and will miss him.
Visitation will be on Wednesday August 21, 2013 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
