He was born in San Antonio, TX on August 4, 1918 to Reyes Najera and Maria Teofila Amesquita who preceded him in death.
Arthur was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend.
Additionally, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Lydia U. Loy, son, Tony Najera and daughter, Mary Louise Lemon.
He is survived by his daughters, Irene T. Mayen and husband, Oscar of Conroe, TX, Elizabeth Vega of Euless, TX, Betty Valdez and husband, Hector of Dripping Springs, TX, Lorraine De Leon-Can and husband, Ramon; son, R. Roger Najera and wife, Kim; sister, Teresa Sanchez; sister-in-law, Rebecca Ramirez, all of San Antonio; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
