She was born on October 16, 1918, in Mulberry, Kansas.
Mrs. White obtained a BS degree in English from Pittsburg State University, Kansas and a Masters Degree in Guidance from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. She did her post graduate studies at The University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
Mrs. White taught high school English all over the world, wherever her husband, Col. Thomas D. White was stationed during his 28 year career as an Air Force pilot.
She was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority and a member of IO Chapter, PEO.
Scholarships were established by Mrs. White at the following schools: Pittsburg State University, Cottey College, Missouri, and Valley Forge Military College, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. White was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. & Mrs. W. A. Parrish; one brother, Richard Parrish, and her grandson, Thomas D. White, III. She is survived by her husband, Col. Thomas D. White, USAF Ret.; her son, Thomas D. White, II; grandson, Phillip Edward White; and great-granddaughter, Kyla Rose White.
