Aurelia Rodriguez

Aurelia “Lela” Rodriguez loved the Lord Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, not only to her own children and grandchildren, but also to their friends’ and neighbors’ children. She was humble and kind. She always ended her phone calls with “May God bless you and may God take care of you.” She enjoyed cooking and baking for others. Lela was a gift to all who knew her. Now the Lord has made her shine like the sun and holds her in the palm of His hand.

Lela was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Michael Christopher, her beloved sister, Maria Elena, a child of her heart, Raymon, and nephews Jaime and Robert.

Lela is survived by her daughter, Connie, her son-in-law, Michael, her son, Joe, her cherished granddaughter, Lauren, the children of her heart, Susie, Bob and John and their wonderful families, her nieces, Laura, Rebecca, and Imelda, and her nephew, Joe.

A graveside service for Aurelia will be held Friday, March 8, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels and Cemetery Dominion, 20900 IH 10 W, San Antonio, TX 78257.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lela may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Lela’s family extends its sincere thanks to her very kind neighbors, Carole, Richard, Denise and Blair and the many friends who loved her.
