Aurelio A. Ayala III

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Aurelio A. Ayala III, beloved father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and friend, who passed away on November 22, 2024, at the age of 79. Aurelio was born on January 25, 1945, in San Antonio, Texas, to Aurelio Ayala II and Beatrice Rodriguez.

Aurelio was a man of many passions. He was a devoted fan of baseball, a game he loved to watch and discuss with those who shared his enthusiasm. In his free time, he could often be found enjoying a game of pool, perfecting his shot or simply relishing the camaraderie of friends. He was also an avid marksman, with a deep appreciation for shooting. But beyond these hobbies, it was the time spent with family and friends that Aurelio cherished most. He loved gathering with loved ones, sharing stories, and creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Aurelio was known for his warmth, humor, and the love he extended to those around him. He had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcome and appreciated, whether they were longtime friends or new acquaintances. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Aurelio will be united in heaven with his parents; Aurelio A. Ayala II and Beatrice Ayala, and his brother-in-law; Alfredo Cavazos.

Aurelio's memory will forever live in the hearts of his beloved wife of 53 years, Anita Ayala, his son; Aurelio Arturo Ayala IV, daughters; Anna Maria Ayala, Angelica Maria Ayala(L Jay Garcia), Adriana Maria Mayces (Marcus), his sister, Beatrice Cavazos, his grandchildren; Dominic Ayala, Sophia Ayala-Sullivan, Jacob Mendoza, Ariana Mendoza, Isabella Mendoza, Marcus Mayces Jr., Alexander Mayces, and his great-granddaughter; Dahlia Mirabella Robledo.

A visitation for Aurelio will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A rosary will occur Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A funeral mass will occur Friday, December 6, 2024 from 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, 1321 El Paso St, San Antonio, TX 78207 with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
