Barbara Louise Barrett

Barbara Louise Barrett, born on May 5, 1925 in Pax, West Virginia, went to be with The Lord on January 11, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 95. Spending most of her youth in Pax, she moved to Washington, DC at the age of 18, where she worked as a secretary for the Civil Service. This is where she met her soon to be husband, Woodrow Ford Barrett, who was a WWII Captain in the United Stated Air Force. They were married for 39 years until he passed. Barbara was a devoted, Christian woman who served as a Sunday School teacher for 25 years at Sunset Ridge Church of Christ. She will always be remembered by her children as a loving, Christian mother. Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Woodrow F. Barrett. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy C. Huff and husband, Kenneth Gerald Huff, Debby L. Lucky and husband, Edwin C. Lucky; son, Jeff W. Barrett and wife, Elise Barrett; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
