I had my very first Thanksgiving celebration at the Bispings. I spent many weekends at Rick and Barb's house during my time in San Antonio, and every single time I entered their home there was such warm welcome. My life is so much more richer because of Barb and the Bisping family. I called Katie this morning to offer my support, but as soon as I heard her voice there was a rush of emotions, I did not have the words to convey how heart-broken I am.

Barb, thank you so much for welcoming me into your home and into your heart. I will always have the fondest memories of how kind, warm, and genuine you were to me and everyone around you.

I met Mrs. Bisping through her daughter Katie when we were in training for the army.  Her family opened their home and hearts to many of us soldiers. Many dinners, thanksgiving, breakfasts and letting us get away from the barracks and stress of training and being away from our own family and friends.  The Bisping’s became our family.  Her kindness, humor and Love will be Greatly missed and many of us are eternally grateful for Mama Bisping and her wonderful family. This is a great loss but she made a huge impact on this world.

So many fond memories of all Of Our families at Grandma Monettes house on Christmas Eve: Barbara loved going to Aunt Corella and Uncle Marvin’s on the weekends. Had some fun garage parties. Gary and Peggy would walk over there from Their house. Love to All.  Rest in peace Sweet Girl

Barbara was my roommate at Bradley and a friend for over 50 years. She knew my family, my history and stood up at my wedding.

Through moves out of the United States and within, Barb remained my friend, my sister and in many ways my shining light through dark times.

I can still hear how she called me “Cathy” in her midwestern voice and will miss her every day.

May her memory be a blessing.

Im soo sorry for the loss of your mom, Katie and my heart hurts for your whole family.  I will never forget the kindness your mom showed to my Julie during her high school years.  She opened her house to Julie when Julie needed that.  I will never forget.  Love to you Katie.

30 years ago a van driving down my street with a short bubbly woman stopped and rolled her window down to talk to me when she saw my son and his friends playing hockey in the street. She introduced herself and told me that her son also was playing hockey at the other end of the street with his friends. A few days later this dimple faced young man skated down and into our lives and with him came the gift of a friendship between mothers. Barb welcomed this single mom into her home where I always had a place at her table. And boy could she set a table! Every holiday had a special table setting with decorations and special plates with recipes and dishes for the occasion. She always wore a T-shirt and crazy earrings for every holiday you could imagine. Her kitchen was filled with laughter and love. She was an enthusiastic hockey mom and supportive ROTC mom. Dedicated to her kids, she worked two jobs to get them through college. She was a “closeted” country music fan till I outed her and took her to the Rodeo to see Alan Jackson. I could write a short book of Barb shenanigans and shared fun. She will be missed♥️

Sorry to hear about Barb’s passing. I still remember when she was part of my sister Marlene’s surprise party. That brought my sister so many wonderful memories. May you have wonderful memories of your own and use them to get you through these difficult days.
