

A primary homemaker for the vast portion of her life, she also provided care to pre-school aged children. She became a licensed beautician, and she was also a member of the Blue Birds Auxiliary volunteering at the Methodist Hospital with primary duties as a telephone operator.
Barbara was very athletic, kept herself in great shape, was a fantastic snow skier, and avid golfer with two holes in one. She and Amos loved to country western dance. She had a way of drawing people in with her outgoing personality and smile.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Amos Leo Horn, Jr., brother Douglas MacLeod, sister Marilyn MacLeod, and is survived by son Scott Horn and his wife Terri, daughter Debbie Schawe, son Brian Horn and his wife Tina. Grandchildren, Ashley Hodges, Danielle Horn, Brandon Schawe, BreAnn Hudson, Jordan Horn, Joshua Horn and Justin Horn. Great-grandchildren, Sawyer Hodges, Lincoln Hodges, Hays Schawe, Lane Schawe, Lyndon Hudson, Ella Hudson, Brooklyn King, Kash Reininger, Emma Kate Horn, Sophia Horn, and Olivia Horn. Brother, Bruce MacLeod. She loved her family very much.
Celebration of life service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel Number 2, located at 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218 on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 1:00 pm with Entombment to follow.
