Barbara W. Jones

Barbara Wright Jones died peacefully on Sunday, October 9, 2022. Barbara was born on August 19, 1927 to James and Helen Wright in Canajoharie, New York. Barbara graduated from Canajoharie High School as valedictorian of the 1944 senior class. She attended Cornell University and graduate school at the University of Houston and University of Incarnate Word.

Barbara married Lawrence Jones on May 25, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas. Barbara is pre deceased by her son, Richard James Jones, her husband of 69 years, Lawrence Churchill Jones, her parents, Helen and James Wright, her brother, Richard Wright, her stepmother Pearl Sparks Wright, her inlaws, Colonel and Linda Jones. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Jones Larson (Dave), her son, Dr. Michael Jones (Jane), grandsons, Dan Larson (Teala), Chris Larson (Jamie), Jeff Jones (Holly), Dr. Bill Jones (Lauren-Taylor) and great grandchildren Emory and Baylor Jones, Annabelle and Finley Larson, Sean and Olivia Jones.

The family will have a private graveside service and later in November will have a Celebration of Life Service to celebrate Barbara's long and productive life.

A Celebration of Life of Barbara Wright Jones will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 304 W. San Antonio Street, Fredericksburg, Texas 78624. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and the Service will begin at 10:30 AM. Following the Service, a reception will be held beginning at 11:30 AM in the Family Holy Center. "
