Barbara Torres Leal, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 1, 2020 after a long battle with Dementia/Alzheimers. She was born Barbara Seguin Torres, July 17, 1936 to Antonia and Blas Torres in Canada Verde, a tiny town northwest of Floresville, where she attended school in a one-room school-house. She was a direct descendant of former alcalde Erasmo Seguin and Texas Revolutionary hero Juan Seguin. She is survived by 3 daughters, Gladys Delgado, Patricia Grimes, and Barbie Leal-Hallam, sisters Natalia Delgado of Arcadia, CA, Josefina Villarreal, and Rachel Padilla of San Antonio, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 6:30pm with a celebration of life from 6:30pm to 7:00pm, Monday, February 10, 2020 at Porter Loring Mortuary.
