Barbara N. Leavelle

Barbara N. Leavelle, age 75, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 12, 2015 while vacationing with her daughter and son-in-law. She was born in Lubbock, TX to Elbert and Margaret (Richardson) Leavelle. For over 50 years Barbara worked as a Legal Assistant. She was a professional who understood and loved family law. Barbara was thoughtful and patient while assisting clients through difficult times.

She loved many things in life, with the most important being family. Barbara was always there for her two children and granddaughter when needed. She was able to share the good and not so good times with them all. There were many laughs and memories which will always remain in their hearts. Barbara also touched many other lives and will be remembered as a classy, fun, thoughtful and wise woman. Other interests included spending time with her dog, traveling, gardening, cooking and keeping up on current events. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs fan.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ronnie. She is survived by brothers, Bill and Mike Leavelle; sister, Karen Bausone; daughter, Lauri Moore and husband, Davis; son, Greg Stewart; granddaughter, Chassie Bentley and husband Kevin; great grandsons, Jacob and Joseph; dog Sophie.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
