Barbara G. Lopez, of San Antonio died Friday, July 12, 2002. She was known as "Bobby" to all her loved ones and friends. She was a devoted wife to her surviving husband Emilio and a loving mother to her children and grandchildren, she lived her life filled with love, grace and integrity. She retired from Civil Service with the U.S. Government after 38 years of dedicated service. Preceded in death by her parents, Romana and Patricio Garcia; her sister, Frances Pruneda; and her brother, Pedro Garcia. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Emilio C. Lopez; daughter, Mary Esther Vasys; son, Edward G. Lopez; brother, Noe Garcia and wife, Martha; sisters, Emma Parra and husband, Louis, and Isabel Marroquin; grandchildren, Veronika Vasys, and Erik Vasys; great grandchildren, Alexandra Pantuso and Kole Pantuso; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family wishes to thank Dr. David Grant for his consistant care and gentle manner; Dr. Grant's staff Yvonne, Becky and Ralph for their kind attention; and the nursing staff at the Nix Hospital.
